$75m Island in the Turks & Caicos Print E-mail

The Wall St Journal reports today on how Tim Blixseth is trying to sell his 5 acre island in the Turks & Caicos for $75,000,000.

According to the paper he may also take a Gulfstream jet or a New York apartment as a trade, rather than doing an outright sale.

The Island had been part of Blixseths nascent destination club, Yellowstone Club World. The club was one of the highest level luxury travel clubs that were formed, but it never really got going. In the end Club World fell apart due to the messy Blixseth divorce and subsequent bankruptcy of his elite community in Montana, Yellowstone Club.

Accusations are flying and legal papers have been filed that Blixseth took money that was due to go towards Yellowstone Club, and used it to acquire properties for his Yellowstone Club World.

If you'd like to own an island in the Turks & Caicos, then this one comes with a 30,000 square foot house with nine bedrooms and is separated from the mainland by its own swing bridge.
