The New York Times profiles a couple from Denver, Colorado that own fractionals in Paris.

Their first was a 614 sq ft one bedroom apartment. The second was an apartment in the Marais, where the 1/11th shares were sold for $146k (€92k) and annual dues of €1,130.

The ownership is structured with an American LLC being the primary owner of a French Société Civile Immobilier, so that American laws cover the ownership.
