The (London) Times had a story last weekend about how owners at this Tuscan hamlet had endured the bankruptcy of the Scottish based developer.

The Borgo was sold as whole ownership, fractional ownership (not mentioned in Times artcile) and as timeshare by the Scottish developer Hillmore.

The folks buying whole ownership were guaranteed a rental return by the developer for several years and this has now disappeared.

All the owners were buying deeded real estate, so still hold title to their property, but have had to go through a lot of meetings and Italian legal issues to sort everything out. The added complication of the timeshares has further complicated the situation.
