Dick Ragatz and Steve Dering, two experts on the luxury fractional and private residence club market are predicting that the higher end of the fractional home market will be the first to rebound as the economy lifts out of recession.

The reasons they give are:
- the economics of owning a fractional rather than a whole second home
- the ongoing demand for vacation homes
- no need to find financing - most buyers don't need finsncing (even though it is available)
- the rationale for buying only what you need
- the new green and environmental position that sharing is better than letting a fully owned vacation homes sit empty most of the time.
